American Indians experience higher rates of developing some of the most common and preventable cancers. Unfortunately, they also have low cancer survival rates for almost all cancers, making it the leading cause of death for American Indians in Minnesota. Through hard work, culturally appropriate community-based programs and policy changes that afford Native people access to the best prevention and treatment strategies, the American Indian Cancer Foundation envisions a day where American Indian communities are free from the burdens of cancer.
Please demonstrate your commitment to stronger, healthier Native communities by sponsoring the 6th Annual Powwow for Hope. Contact Powwow@aicaf.org for more information.
